Adding Bodygroupr
« on: May 07, 2017, 09:44:01 am »
I think Bodygroupr should be added to the server so we get to choose which playermodel we want to use instead of being stuck with a male/female playermodel that we don't want. That way people could be who they WANT to be, not who they're stuck as.

Players can already hire each other for protection, but not as a hit-man or assassin. We do plan to add skins / outfits but this will take time. Many other projects in the works right now. Thanks for posting, see you on the server!

I never said anything about hiring people for protection? I just wanted bodygroupr added so we could change our skin from a Female HL2 civ skin to a Male HL2 civ skin, for exmple.

Also on another thread posted by Commander Potato, they were suggesting the addition of a clothing system which could tie into this thread perfectly.
If the Bodygroupr's Dresser system was implemented or the PERP gamemode's clothing vendor system, then you could select a few playermodels from the content pack below and whitelist them to civilians, black market dealers, and gun dealers. The option of having these playermodels would allow people to properly customise the way they look to a certain level.

In the pack there are playermodels for police officers, military, rebels, and regular civilians.
For normal civilians I recommend the use of these files: (Obviously not all of them, way too many. Just showing you ones you can choose from)

Possibly for the Black Market Dealer you could use the Camo Rebel skin:

For regular Coastguards you could use these playermodels:
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=709872429
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=669868438

For the Coastguard Commander you could use these: (Only certain playermodels from here though, such as the police officers with a jacket or guards with a hat so the commander stands out from regular coastguards. In fact, the police playermodels could be used for normal Coastguards if you feel it would fit.)

Obviously I'm not posting to try and get ALL these files implemented in the server, as that would be WAYY too much. It's just a recommendation for you to implement some of these playermodels (Along with something like bodygroupr so we can actually change them https://www.gmodstore.com/scripts/view/1217).

You misspelled bodygroup twice and Billy was trying to cover himself if you meant either or. He couldn't really tell if it was bodyguard or bodygroup based on the spelling mistake. I will look into these addons. The only thing keeping us from doing a clothing system is indeed proper models. This will help with that if it checks out. Thanks for posting.

Whoops, I completely misinterpreted this whole thing. If we do any sort of clothing system, I will make it entirely myself besides the models. Only thing I need to do it are the models which I can take from the addons you linked.
