Fruit Growing
« on: February 27, 2017, 11:45:09 pm »
Growing fruit is really simple once you understand the basics of it. There are 4 different types of fruit you can grow. These are Bananas, Oranges, Lemons and Melons. The first three grow as fruit trees and will grow fruit after the tree has grown but the melon works differently.

To start with, when you head to the fruit vendor in Red Harbor, you will be greeted with a menu as shown in the image below.

This menu shows the prices of fruit for when you sell them, what you can buy from the NPC and the items you have next to it which you can sell to the NPC. The fruit prices are dynamic so if there is a demand for a certain fruit, it's price will be high, but if a particular fruit has been sold to the NPC a million times, the price will be low. For this guide we will be growing Bananas, as the three fruit trees grow exactly the same. You should also buy around 4-6 water bottles initially.

When you have bought these, take them back to a room that you own using the gravity gun. My preferred way to have the fruit pots in my apartment:

  • Setup your fruit pots somewhere safe. Press F4 on your keyboard and navigate to the Entity tab.
  • You need to buy a Fruit Container for $325 and a Grow Lamp for $250.
  • Once purchased, go into F4 > Inventory and drop 2 Water Bottles and the Grow Lamp
  • Place the lamp over your pots, press E on it and click Mount Lamp. Then place the Water Bottles into the pots
  • Once they have fully grown and started growing fruit, you can start collecting it into your fruit container
  • Bring the Fruit Container back to the NPC, he will then buy the fruit after clicking Sell
