This guide will explain how this works, list key commands, and explain tips and info. This rod can be purchased through the F4 -> Entities menu.
Controls:
Reel down, hold LEFT mouse
Reel up, hold RIGHT mouse
Reel faster, hold SHIFT
Reel slower, hold ALT
Release bait, press E
Release catch press R
Access the menu, press B
To sell your findings, press R or E on them (if the price is a bunch of question marks, use E. Otherwise, use R.)
Instructions:
Buy the rod from the F4 menu, pick it up, drop it as entity, then pick it up again. The rod can now be found in the number 4 slot of your weapons.
Press B with the rod out to open up your fishing menu.
Click on the "Bait Shop" tab and purchase whatever bait is available for your rank.
Drop your hook into the water or throw it while holding left click.
Wait until you get a catch. You can tell when you have bite when the text turns green, a splash sound plays, and your hook gets yanked.
Hold right click and/or shift to reel in the catch.
Hold the catch over your props or land and press R to drop it. Beware of seagulls trying to steal your catch!
Press R or E on the catch to sell it.
Repeat!
Tips/Info:
ALWAYS carry a gun or have friend with you. Seagulls will often appear and try to steal your catches.
When you find that some catches are too heavy for your rod or can be pulled off too easily by seagulls, upgrade your Hook Force.
If, for any reason, you need to sell your bait, you can press R on it to sell it for the price you paid for it.
When you are done, if you do not want to pay another $500 for a new fishing rod, use /holsterweapon to put it back into your inventory.
If your depth marker on the bobber is 0 and not changing at all, it's most likely because you are in the water and need to get out of it to fish correctly.
