Moving forward with this game-mode will require us to add new content. Harbor Roleplay has been around many years and has gone through so many changes. This time, we are reaching out to the public before we make this dissension final.

Twin Harbor is another map by Statua. This one has many advantages compared to our current map. Some areas have been upgraded while others were completely removed for something new. Our goal on this switch is to allow more content to be added, such as more vehicles and job opportunities. We still have the ability to edit our current map to accommodate our needs, but Twin Harbor has just about everything we could ask for. Finally! I am ready to switch maps, harbor2ocean is just annoying and I think this is way better. I definitely voted for twin harbor switch. :)

I am excited to see the map finally change after having harbor2ocean for so long. Its a healthy change to the server in my opinion. I did see lots of weird things in the other map, and I hope Billy's great developers can work out those weird useless things to have in the map. Or you could use these spots for new jobs! I wish luck to all on the change of this map, and hope it works out well.

Why not the original CG map?

To add new content, we must use an updated map or make a new one from scratch. Using the first HRP map would only delay this process, plus require drastic editing all over. We do have some changes in mind for Twin Harbor, like re-adding the Oil Rig and more secret areas. I do enjoy the classic map, but it doesn't seem to offer much compared to the others. The only thing I could see being used again is the Oil Rig, where the ladder to the top is inside the supports. Good times!

This is a tropical harbor map designed for the Catalyst-Gaming Harbor Roleplay server. This map has a script to deter use on other servers. Feel free to look around in singleplayer. If you wish to play on this map, you can connect to the server linked above. Due to the instability of FastDL, this map was uploaded to the workshop for public access and streamlined downloading.

People have already decompiled it and removed it, there is also an autoexec to remove it.

None of this matters though as Statua quit mapping and released all of his VMFs.

Once we finish preparing the map, we wont advert the workshop one anymore. Ours will be setup on the fastDL system instead. It will contain many fixes and the changes we need for the game-mode to thrive again.

Keep in mind, Catalyst gave up on HRP years ago with out any explanation. Our intentions is to keep HarborRP alive and running smooth. The only way we can do this is to move forward with the map update.

Yeah, hopefully this map change brings back players and hopefully more development can be done to fix bugs and add more features / things to do.
