Title: Making the sound effects of the Ocean quieter
Post by: DelsieTheSkarf on May 14, 2017, 08:13:37 am
What the title suggests, making the ocean sounds quieter.
When I'm in the ocean or the oil rig I can't even hear my TV or radio because it's so loud, and it always comes back after I use stopsound. It basically wastes the 2.5k I spent on my TV.

There are a few way to fix this. One is to go into the garrysmod settings via Escape menu and adjust the overall volume. The other is that the TV has adjustable volume in its C menu. Stopsounds dosn't work because the ocean audio plays back on a sound loop file. Garrysmod allows you to adjust ingame volume for mics and game volume, otherwise you may need to turn down your computer volume outside of gmod.

We actually did do this but not by very much. You are the only other person to bring this up rather than Billy. You guys must have some weird sound settings...

I will look into this again.

The ocean is so loud it can be quiet irritating when you're boating a long way to BH.

It would be easy to turn down, I just keep most of gmod quiet and a high voice scale.
